Locating metallic or non metallic lines becomes a simple task using the 5600FT Pipe Locater. The 5600FT effectively determines location, direction and depth of buried pipes and

 The hand held receiver is used to pick-up a radio frequency signal that is put "onto" or "into" the line to be traced. This signal can be put onto conductive (metal)
pipes or cables either by clamping the "Energizer" to the
exposed portions of the line or by placing the "Energizer"
over the line which is buried in the ground. A remote transmitter which can be pushed or pulled through the pipes is used to emit a signal in non-conductive lines...
such as PVC plumbing around swimming pools. Simple movements of the receiver once the signal is detected allows determination of depth and direction of the buried
line.
